My App Continously Crashes when Trying to Connect to the CPU

Here are a few initial steps to resolve the issue.

  1. Reinstall the SMARTfit App: Start by uninstalling and then reinstalling the SMARTfit app on your device. This often resolves common issues.
  2. Send a Video Example: If the problem persists, please email TJ a video demonstrating the issue. This will help us in diagnosing the problem more accurately.
  3. Tablet Device Specs: Please provide the specifications of your tablet device. With this information, we can check for any compatibility issues or other specific problems related to your tablet model.
  4. Try a Different Device: If possible, test the app on a second tablet or a cell phone. This will help determine if the issue is isolated to the original device.
  5. 8-Digit ID Code: Lastly, please send the 8-digit ID code displayed on the CPU. This will allow us to further investigate the issue.

How do I gain access to Stroop?

  1. Under the play tab, choose the game folder Stroop
  2. Select Stroop – Match 
  3. Scroll down and change the level from 1 to 2
  4. Select done
  5. Press Start game and now you will play Stroop with the Red X and Green Check Mark displayed on the center target

iPad/mobile device can’t find the controller? Download the BLE Scanner App

  1. Download the BLE Scanner app on the iPad that cannot find the Mini. 
  2. Open the BLE Scanner app and look for a “Near By” device that starts with the name “DFU”. Select the green connect button on that device. If you see the 8 digit code on the BLE Scanner app, then select that instead.
  3. Disconnect from the device and close the BLE Scanner App.
  4. Restart the SMARTfit app and the controller will show up on the next scan.

How do I download the app for Apple devices

  1. Know your Apple ID username and password in order to download the app on the device
  2. The app is a Blue circle with white background

The SMARTfit app consistently crashes

  1. Identify when the app crashes 
  2. If it continues to crash, delete the app and redownload it
  3. Please contact (805)883-8812 for Customer Support 

I am not able to update my system controller

Controller needs to be registered to correct account 

  1. Connect to the controller from their mobile device
  2. Select the controller ID
  3. At the my controller page select “Run Custom Action” 
  4. Type in 911400 
  5. This will unregister the controller
  6. Sign in to the account that the customer wants to be the Admin account
  7. Change the configuration under settings 
  8. Manage Connections – select yes to register controller – now they are the admin
  9. Select Controller ID once connected- then select update software, the red X means that there is an update available and green check mark means there is not one available

How do I unregister a controller?

Unregistering the controller can only be performed by the controller administrator. This would remove the current controller administrator from their role and remove the registration of the current license key. The next user to connect to the controller would be required to scan a valid license key to register the controller again. After connecting to the controller, select the controller on the Home tab, which will take you to the My Controller page. Select the “Unregister” option on this page.

How do I change my controller password?

Changing the controller password can only be performed by the controller administrator. The controller password must be entered each time upon connecting to the SMARTfit controller if you choose to password protect it. After connecting to the controller, select the controller on the Home tab, which will take you to the My Controller page. Select the “Change Password” option on this page.

What is schools mode?

Schools mode allows access to the SMARTfit games and content suited to schools. This does include some rehab content on the SMARTfit Mini

What is Games Only mode?

Games only mode allows for basic access to the SMARTfit games allowing players to enjoying a simpler user interface.

What is Fitness/performance mode?

Fitness/performance mode allows for full access to the SMARTfit platform. This mode will display predesigned programming specifically for the Fitness/Sports market. It also includes leaderboards and challenges.

What is Rehab mode?

Rehab mode allows for full access to the SMARTfit platform. This mode will display predesigned programming specifically for the Rehab market with the addition of the Test tab. In the Test tab, users can run a variety of cognitive tests and dual task cost tests designed by leaders in the industry.

Did I receive a license?

License keys will be assigned based on which subscription you have purchased. If you purchased your system prior to December 31, 2022, your license will automatically be registered with the highest level options with the ability to switch between the modes. If you purchased your system on January 1 2023 or later, you will have selected which subscription you would be purchasing at the time of placing your order. In this case, when you power up and connect to the system, you will see the content relating to the subscription you purchased.

For example, rehab clinics and hospitals will be assigned a rehab subscription key. In addition, this provides access to the commercial and games only, fitness/sports modes free of charge. While a commercial fitness and sports facility will be assigned the commercial fitness/sports subscription which also provides access to the games only mode. Finally, a system purchased with the games only subscription will be assigned the games only subscription giving easy access to content designed for facilities not interested in tracking data.

If you purchased the schools only subscription, then you will have access to the schools mode only.

What is a license?

License is the type of software subscription that your controller was registered with. The type of license that your controller has will determine what predesigned programming you will see and which modes your controller is compatible with. The three types of licenses are Medical/Rehab, Fitness/Sports, Home Fitness/Sports.

What is a mode?

Mode determines what features and predesigned programming will be available when using the SMARTfit app. The four modes to choose from are Rehab, Fitness/Performance, Schools and Games only.

I forgot my password or username

In local Mode, the username and password can be recovered under the Admin profile.

  1. Sign into the Admin profile with username: Admin and password: smart
  2. Select the “Super User Manger” menu item.
  3. Select the “Manage Users” menu item.
  4. On this page, you can view all usernames and passwords of each Trainer account.
    a. If your profile is not shown here, then select the blue Unmanaged users tab. On this page, you can view all usernames and passwords of each Client account.

In cloud mode, the username and password can be recovered by selecting the “Forgot Password” on the sign in page.

  1. Select the blue “Sign in” button.
  2. Select the “Forgot Password?” button
  3. Type in the email address associated with your account.
  4. Select the blue “Send verification code” button.
  5. Go to the above-mentioned email address and open the email.
  6. Select the reset password link.

Permission Denied – You do not have permission to use this controller.

In local mode, the open system feature has expired and therefore denied you access. To fix this, you must turn the open system feature back on and change the expiration date.

  1. Sign into the Admin profile with username: Admin and password: smart
  2. Select the “Super User Manger” menu item.
  3. Select the “Administrator Settings” menu item.
  4. Turn on the Open System feature.
  5. Change the expiration date year to a year in the future. For example, you can set the year to be 2025.
  6. Select the back-arrow key twice located at the top left of the screen.
  7. Sign out of the Admin profile.
  8. Sign into your original profile and connect to SMARTfit.

Do you offer software upgrades?

Yes, all app-based systems are upgradable over the internet. Upgrades are released once per quarter and include new features, programs, games, data tracking and reporting capability

  3. Select “Using the SMARTfit App” 
  4. Each tab is a video that explains everything about the app
